ABOUT REDEMPTION IN ACTION

Redemption In Action brings people, resources, and healthcare partners together through clinics, training, and medical equipment in Côte d’Ivoire.

One conversation opened the door to something bigger.

In 2016, Abraham Bah met Johnny and Ricki Hein at a conference in Colorado Springs.

Abraham had grown up in Côte d’Ivoire and understood the challenges many communities faced—especially rural clinics working without adequate medical equipment and supplies.

He shared a vision: build an organization that could connect people and resources with communities in need.

Johnny and Ricki listened. Then they began helping him turn that vision into action.

“I had never seen anything like it—full of all the things I had dreamed of having one day for my country.”

-Abraham Bah, after visiting the Project C.U.R.E. warehouse

Why Do We Exist?

Equip clinics. Strengthen care. Build relationships that last.

Medical Clinics

Medical clinics bring direct care to communities with limited access. Visiting physicians, nurses, and specialists work alongside local healthcare professionals to examine and treat patients, provide medication, and reach rural areas through outreach clinics.

Training & Exchange

Training and knowledge exchange puts healthcare professionals side by side. Visiting and Ivorian clinicians share clinical knowledge, skills, and experience in both directions, strengthening care that continues long after a visiting team goes home.

Medical Equipment

Medical equipment and resources start with a needs assessment. Donated equipment and supplies are inspected, sorted, and matched to what each clinic needs, then shipped in 40-foot containers. $23,000 delivers up to $400,000 in equipment.

Who We Are

Redemption In Action works alongside local healthcare professionals, communities, government leaders, churches, volunteers, and nonprofit partners to address medical needs in Côte d’Ivoire.

Our work begins by listening.

Needs are identified first. From there, the work moves in three connected directions: clinic teams provide care alongside local professionals, training and knowledge exchange build skills that stay in the community, and equipment is matched and delivered where it’s needed.

The goal is not simply to send equipment.

The goal is to help place the right resources into the hands of people who are ready to use them.

Our Values: The way we work matters.

WHAT GUIDES US

Rooted in faith. Built through partnership. Focused on people.

We believe God created people to experience the wholeness of life.

That belief shapes how we serve and how we build relationships—with trust, respect, equity, accountability, and shared purpose.

RIA does not approach communities as problems to be solved. We work alongside people, healthcare professionals, and local leaders who already understand their communities and are committed to creating lasting change.

Meaningful work requires meaningful partnership.

RIA works through a connected network of local healthcare facilities, Ivorian government authorities, healthcare professionals, churches, volunteers, donors, and nonprofit partners.

Each relationship brings something essential: local knowledge, medical expertise, equipment, logistics, funding, service, or long-term support.

Together, those contributions become equipped clinics and stronger access to care.

Remembering Johnny Hein

A Legacy of Service

Johnny Hein played an important role in helping Abraham Bah’s vision become a working mission.

Through his faith, service with Project C.U.R.E., and commitment to the people of Côte d’Ivoire, Johnny helped build relationships that continue to shape RIA today.

His legacy reminds us that one person’s willingness to listen, believe, and act can open the door to lasting change.
